Health Control in Canine Breeding:
In addition to basic health care and attention,
such as vaccination and deworming programs,
we have:
Selection of Breeders:
Responsible breeders carefully select dogs for
breeding. They should ideally be free of known
hereditary diseases and have good physical and
temperamental traits.
Health Examinations:
Before breeding, dogs must undergo health
examinations, which can include hip and elbow
X-rays to detect dysplasia, eye tests, DNA tests
for genetic diseases, blood analysis, and more.
Genetic Testing:
Genetic tests play a crucial role in health
control. Breeders can perform genetic tests
to identify carriers of hereditary diseases and
avoid pairings that could produce offspring with
these diseases.
Welsh Corgis, both Pembroke and Cardigan, are
dog breeds that can be prone to certain genetic
diseases and health problems. Through genetic
testing, we can identify some of these diseases
and take preventive measures to ensure the
health of our breeds.
