questions.
Please introduce yourself and your stable?
My name is Cédric DUBROECQ, I’m 45 years old
and I have owned Miniature Horses since I was
9 years old. In 1991 I created my stablename
„EBF„. My first minis lived at my parents home
which was situated in a road called « Chemin de
la Buise » that’s why I chose my affix to be « de
la Buise » ; in French Elevage mean « breeding
farm » so the name of my breeding Stables would
be ‚Elevage de la Buise‘. As I have mentioned
before, at first I started to breed miniatures at
my parents home. In 2016, I bought a farm with
more space and more land for my horses. The
farm is situated in Northern France, not far from
the Belgium border.
Why did you choose to own this breed?
I have loved miniature horses since I was a
child, I’m not a fan of the standard size horses
,because of their size, I prefer small elegant and
refined horses.
Please tell us about your past and present
horse and the future?
I went several times to visit farms in USA,
I also visited the World Show many times.
I imported several horses who became the
pillar of my breeding program. Samis VIP Mr
John, Samis Whoose your Daddy, a lot of my
foals became well known in Europe EBF John’s
Supreme Heritage, EBF John’s Prince Eragon,

In 2017 I have purchased the well known Oak
Bay Mi Amigo from Belgium breeders, and in
2020 I have imported from Limestone Miniatures
in USA the World Suprême Champion D&S TG
I‘m a Country Boy, whom I’m co-owning with
Kingswood Miniature in Netherlands.
How did you get introduced to the world of
showing and breeding?
and I love to select animals to breed from that
are as close as possible to the standard.
What made you want to become a miniature
horse breeder?
At the beginning it was just fun to have a foal
but I wanted to produce my own show horses
to be able to show them at a high level in the
shows in France and Europe. Breeding is easy,
but breeding top quality foals is another story :-)
Did you have mentor/mentors and how have
they helped you?
My parents helped me to develop my passion,
my friend Nicole helped me to buy really
expensive quality mares at the beginning. In the
USA several breeders showed me how to feed,
how to train, how to select the best horses.

Have you been inspired by any other stable/
breeders?
No, I have always followed my intuition and did
what I was thinking be the best for my point of
view, I selected horses for me…. Since the first
foal I bred I wanted to developp the type of
horse I personally like.
