Legends
Rowan When someone asks you to write
an article on the Dog that was so
loved and appreciated by an entire
world. Let’s just say where do you
begin and where does it end. His
life will never end because he is
a legend and Legacy to so many
Australian Shepherds we see in all
Ventures today.
His Story is a simple one. It began for me with a
dream of improving the quality temperament and
structure of the color Red in our breed. Rowan
was born in Missouri at CopperRidge then the
home of John and Sheree Miller. We agreed to do
a co - breeding on the beautiful blue Bitch AKC
CH Flanns Silver Sweet Sound with an impressive
Briarbrook pedigree. I used one of my breedings
on the handsome “Keegan “Ch Bayoulands Creme
Brûlée a legend in his own right.
Litter was born 28.11.2006 and at time of
evaluations and for me to pick a second puppy
for the breeding to Keegan. It was the fiery red
boy that caught my eye. He was moderate and
balanced, attitude and movement that was
unquestioned. So I brought him home.
Now the fun begins this puppy was a natural. So
easy and no fear plus the kisses and smiles he
had for everyone no strangers in his life. That was
a bonus!
Rowan was shown to his
championship in bred x by class
presented myself. He finished
way before the age of 2 years.
Then came the opportunity to
take him to California to the
much anticipated Eukanuba
championships 2009.
It was an amazing trip for an
owner handler and a young Rowan
at 2 years. Rowan was awarded
BOB and BBX with a very emotional
Owner Breeder on the end of that lead!
