My name is Esther Ferrari; I was born 53 years
ago in Italy but grew up between Singapore and
Holland as my mum is Dutch.
I live on a farm with my husband, 22 horses, Esther Ferrari
ten corgis, three cats, and various chickens. My
three kids are grown up. Two have already left Italy
the nest, and the third is still home. Pemslife
I fell in love with this breed in 1989 when www.pemslifecorgis.com
visiting my aunt, and I met a corgi for the first Estherglauco@yahoo.it
time (Bolke was a corgi of a great friend of my
aunt's). It was love at first sight!!!
Back home, I enrolled in various breed
clubs, Swiss and Dutch. And, of course,
the Welsh corgi League; I started
studying the breed and types and
immediately fell for the Belroyd dogs!
In 1993, I got married and booked my
first corgi. After contacting various
breeders, I was directed to an Italian
breeder. From there, I got my first corgi,
a fluff, not really what I was looking for,
but honest breeders were rarer than
they are now. To make it a long story
short, Marisa was spayed and lived a
happy life with us for 15 years.
At that point, I decided to go to the
UK for my next one, a corgi girl from
Esther beautiful boy from the WHISTLEWAY
the Retmari kennel (the year 1999); in
2000, I was given the chance to buy a
corgis also in the UK.
The passion for this breed made me start to
think that breeding corgis was what I would
Ferrari not considered, but meeting breeders and going
have loved; showing my dogs was a factor I had
with them to shows got me hooked as well, so
I enrolled my girl in a show, and that was the
beginning of a new passion!
I had quite a number of lovely dogs, both
imported and bred by me, but the quality of my
dogs definitely took a turn when I met Kevin
Dover of the famous BELROYD KENNELS. He
LIGHT MY FIRE arrived; he has been and still
was my icon in the breed, and when I asked him he said yes! So, a little while later, PEMCADER
is a great improver for type with a beautiful
if he would consider me for one of his puppies, character.
