Informative
If you want to have Champion of Israel,
your dog needs to win 2 CACs from
Specialty (club) shows and 1 CAC
from CACIB show, or 3 CACs from
small show and 1 RCAC at an
international show. There is a
CAC available from every adult
class in males and females.
Best dog/bitch is chosen by
all class winners (junior, adult,
veteran) so the judge will have
to choose between 2 dogs for
Best of Breed / Best Opposite
Sex. The BIS system is classical FCI
system with 10 groups.
The first Australian shepherd was imported
from the USA to Israel in 1997, by Mr Yossi
Samoel, she was a female named Scraps Blue
Genes of Denham, pet name Ginny. Ginny
arrived pregnant by a dog named Beau Geste´s
Johinnie Reb. So, this couple established the
breed within Israel. There are currently four
active Aussie kennels in Israel. The most
successful is Roei Hakfar with his breeder Niv
Zadik, who is also very successful breeder of
Australian Kelpie and Border Collies, and a FCI
judge. In 2022 his Redtri Aussie male Ricari
Maple Sirup Fallcat “Jaxxy” became Aussie of
the year. Jaxxy was imported from the Czech
Republic in 2021 from Fallcat kennel. The
most recent import is already an adult and a
very successful champion male from Spain –
Villanyda Cruisin´Thru the Game co-owned with
Mr Amit Vered. Niv is also the breeder of the
most successful Aussie in the history; a lovely
black-tri female Roei Hakfar Run the World
“J-Lo” who won several best in show titles and
who is already a 5th generation Aussie born in
Israel. The absolutely first Aussie with an all-
breed BIS title in 2007 was the red-tri bitch
imported from USA by Mr Snir or Levi (Levi´s
Grand kennel) name HeartFire´s The Beat Goes
On. Over the past 5 years there has been about
4 litters of Aussies per year. Nowadays, Aussies
in Israel are more and more popular – they are
very smart companions, good for dog sports
like frisbee, agility, obedience, or just serve as
partners in crime for hiking in mountains or
swimming in the sea with active owners.
