BREEDING FOR CURLY COATS IN MINIATURE CURLY HORSES
Curly Miniature Categories in
the International Curly Horse
Organization (ICHO)
With the popularity of Curly Mini’s around
the world, the ICHO, has created categories
especially for Curly Miniatures. The height
requirement for the AMHR (American Miniature
Horse Registry, USA) guidelines for Miniatures
is Section A and Section B miniatures and is
also followed by the ICHO. Section A Miniatures
(Small category) are a height of 34” and under.
Section B (Large category) are a height over 34”
up to 38” (inches). Curly Miniatures 5 years of
age and older get a permanent seal on their Curly Miniature Foal by
ICHO/NACHR Registration Certificate in the Priscella Sijbrand, Sweden
Miniature Category with A or B section listed.
If they are tested for Coat genes they also get a free jumping horses and riding horses for very
