Dear Tim, thank you for taking the time to
provide us with an interview and answering
our questions. If I can say, you are quiet new
in breeding Aussies – foundation litter for
Ochaye Australians Shepherds was born in
September 2015. But immediately you became
          very successful becoming Australia's Youngest
          Supreme Champion Australian Shepherd to
date. Why did you choose to breed Aussies?
My family started breeding Rough Collies under the
prefix “Ochaye”, based on the “Steadlyn” lines from
Italy. However, when Belinda and I met, Belinda
was showing and breeding Australian Shepherds.
At this stage, my family was at the end of breeding
Rough Collies and the Collies that we still had were
getting older. After successfully campaigning a Text written & photographs provided by: Tim and Belinda Thomas
number of the dogs that Belinda had been showing
at the time (one of which became our first Supreme
Champion), we then decided that this was the new Name: Timothy and Belinda Thomas
breed for our family and the future of Ochaye. We
love that Australian Shepherd are a family dog and Country: Moggill - Australia
a very loyal companion. They fit in with our busy OCHAYE Kennels
lifestyle of working, judging and showing as well (Rough Collies & Australian Shepherds)
as sitting on our couch each evening when we relax
          as a family. Email: tim_at_ochaye@hotmail.com
